Tiger's Eye Stones, Offering Protection, Clarity and Courage

A friend of mine recently asked me if we had any men's rings made of tiger's eye in our Enchanted Jewelry & Collectibles store. I said that unfortunately we do not however I would be able to find him one. So I am currently looking for the perfect ring for him. In the meantime we got to talking about it and he told me he really did not know much about these stones, other than the fact that he liked the way they looked. Of course that alone is reason enough to wear a piece of jewelry. I have always said that if you like something by all means get it and wear it proudly. A piece of jewelry, clothing, shoes or anything else that you are proud of and happy to wear and show off can do wonders for your self esteem. However many times certain stones can offer you much more than beauty. The tiger's eye stone is one of them.


The tiger's eye stone is a quartz stone which has rich yellow and golden brown stripes with a golden luster when it is polished. The bands within the stone resemble a tiger's eye, thus it's name. These stones are said to have mystical powers. Roman soldiers wore these stones for protection in battle. It is said that they offer protection during travel and also strengthens convictions and confidence. Tiger's eye stones are used for focusing the mind and are said to be beneficial for the weak or sick. As far as their healing ability goes tiger's eye stones are believed to relieve high blood pressure. Their wear is also very helpful in the presence of respiratory problems.
