Farewell Tuscan Evening, You Left Us Too Soon

Tuscan Evening, a five year old top grass female collapsed and died this morning after her workout. They believe it was a heart attack but a necropsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. There doesn't appear to be much more information than this but you can read about it here and also here. This comes just one day after the most famous mare in all of racing, Zenyatta, continued her amazing streak by winning her 18th straight race without a loss at the Del Mar Racetrack.
