Thanksgiving Memories

I'm sure that everyone has their own wonderful Thanksgiving memories. When I go outdoors and I am greeted by a crisp, chilly, Autumn morning with the leaves blowing that certain nip in the air I think of Thanksgiving. I think of my Mom (who I miss very much every day of the year) starting early on Thanksgiving morning in the kitchen, stuffing and cooking the turkey, making those awesome homemade pumpkin pies that she used to make and making sure that the house looked just as she wanted it to look for the day. We always had plenty of Thanksgiving decorations, some new and some old. Over the years I have added to that collection of Thanksgiving decor and plan to add more with each passing year. I hope that one day my son will decorate his own house with those same decorations and think back fondly on our Thanksgiving family celebrations. I hope that, like myself, he will always carry those fond memories in his heart and smile when he goes to the storage closet and pulls out the boxes of Thanksgiving treasures to be placed around the house.
